Lake Neusiedl may not necessarily be the best choice for a bathing holiday, but water sports enthusiasts, wine lovers and cyclists will definitely get their money’s worth here. We opted for the latter… but we didn’t miss out on the enjoyment of wine either 😉

We have had the opportunity to explore the holiday region of Saalfelden Leogang a number of times. Winter sports enthusiasts are attracted by 270 kilometers of downhill runs and 70 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts, and in summer you will find Austria’s largest bike region here. However, a completely different highlight lures us to this area… the Saalachtaler Höhenweg 😍

There is something for everyone on the Tauplitzalm – nature lovers, summer and winter sports enthusiasts as well as for young and old. In summer you can enjoy the fresh alpine air on a hike, in winter wonderful cross-country trails beckon you.

Despite home advantage, it actually took 37 years and a pandemic to finally dive into the most famous lake in Carinthia. We have spent the past few years traveling to foreign continents, completely forgetting that there are a few magical pearls to discover in our own country 😍

Every gourmet should be familiar with the award-winning Ikarus restaurant at Hangar 7 in Salzburg. We had been thinking about paying a visit to this gourmet temple for a long time. When Sven was given vouchers when he turned 40, we immediately reserved a table 😋

Every few years we pay a visit to the Styrian capital. The city is also very easy to explore with a dog due to the many green spaces. Our highlight is definitely the Schlossberg with the clock tower – the city’s landmark. The Styrian cuisine comes right after that 😋

From an international perspective, Austria is probably less known for good wine. However, Sven & I are absolute fans of this area, as well as of the cuisine and the white wine from this region 😍

I even dare to say that it is my favorite region in Austria. There is nothing better than wandering through the vineyards for hours and taking short breaks for a snack or a wine tasting at the local winegrowers 😋

Happy Birthday sweetheart! I have a very special present for you … With these words Sven surprised me, he gave me a kiss and handed me a small package. Curious, I unpacked it straight away – it was a day of skiing followed by an igloo night. I was completely surprised and really looking forward to it, but I also had my concerns. Just thinking about a night in an igloo gave me goose bumps 🥶
