Ikarus – a starry sky for every gourmet lover

Every gourmet should be familiar with the award-winning Ikarus restaurant at Hangar 7 in Salzburg. We had been thinking about paying a visit to this gourmet temple for a long time. When Sven was given vouchers when he turned 40, we immediately reserved a table ๐Ÿ˜‹

The Ikarus is located at Hangar 7 in Salzburg, a multifunctional building that houses a collection of historic aircraft, helicopters and Formula 1 racing cars from the entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz. There is also a bar and a cafe to linger.

The Ikarus concept: a different top chef every month in Hangar-7. Regardless of which continent, whether from the USA, South Africa or Japan. Whether traditional cuisine, fusion cuisine or molecular cuisine. The important thing is the variety. And of course the high quality of the food.

During our visit there was no international star chef at work due to the pandemic, we enjoyed a BEST-OF composition from last year.

The price per person is around 400 euros (menu price: 210, – / wine accompaniment 190, -)

For us it will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the price is too expensive for us.

However, I have to honestly admit … it was an absolute culinary delight – a taste explosion ๐Ÿ˜‹
